Ministries/Groups

Ministries at Trinity:

Interfaith Hospitality Network ( www.ihnworcester.org) - Trinity Church participates, in part, by providing donating to IHN in a monthly collection, providing meals and overnight hosts on a rotating basis with other area Faith Communities. Our next hosting week is June 2 through June 9, 2013. If you would like to volunteer to cook one or more meals that week, or to stay at the Hospitality House overnight one or more nights please contact Ron or Sherry Alarie. New to Trinity? Don't have their number? Call the office we will be happy to put you in touch.

Christian Education is charged with the spiritual and intellectual development of the faith of our parish, guiding and supporting the educational programs for our children, youth and adults. Nursery care is provided during family worship service. Church school classes for all children, confirmation, baptismal and wedding instruction, and adult education are available. Vacation Bible School is held for one week in early summer.

The Facilities Committee maintains and oversees the physical plant and grounds of the parish, keeping in view the future needs of the congregation and the mission of the church.

The Outreach Ministry is the social action ministry of the parish providing leadership in concerns of Christian charity and action for others in our community, diocese, nation, and beyond. The Crop Walk for world hunger, food collection for soup kitchens, the United Thank Offering, the Interfaith Hospitality Network, Habitat for Humanity, and the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund are among the concerns we support.

Pastoral Care and Parish Nursing

Special needs such as meals, rides, visits and other services for members of the parish, are met by members of the Pastoral Care Committee. The parish nurse is a registered nurse who provides education and advocacy, makes referrals, and provides counseling to parishioners. The integration of faith and health and well-being is an essential part of this ministry.

The Stewardship Ministry is charged with leading the parish in understanding the sharing of ourselves and our resources with God through the life and mission of Trinity. Pledge commitments of service and financial support are renewed annually in the fall.

The Worship & Music Ministry provides for the coordination and continuing development of lay ministries (acolytes, choir, lectors, altar guild, etc.)  which enhance our corporate worship.

What is the Episcopal Church?

News and information about the who we are and what we believe in the Episcopal Church can be found at the national Episcopal Church website. A great place to start is the "I am an Episcopalian" page. Here you can see the diversity and inclusive nature that is characteristic of our Church. If you have more questions Rev.
